We are closely affiliated with Riverview Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center which keeps our physicians up-to-date on the latest advances in Pediatric care and connected with all of the Pediatric Specialists in our area.

Meet Our Physicians
SOWMINI KOMMIREDDI, MD, F.A.A.P.
Pediatrician
Dr. Sowmini Kommireddi is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Madurai Medical College in India and completed her pediatric internship and residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. After completing her residency, Dr. Kommireddi worked as a hospitalist at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. She has worked as a primary care pediatrician since 2004, starting at Riverview Pediatrics then moving to Holmdel Pediatrics. With over a decade of practicing as a primary care pediatrician, she has gained immense experience.
Dr. Kommireddi enjoys spending time with her husband and her teenage daughters.
BRITTANY M. CAREY, D.O., F.A.A.P
Pediatrician & Lactation Counselor
Dr. Brittany Carey was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology from Rutgers University. Dr. Carey then attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Carey completed her residency in pediatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ where she was also chief resident during her third year of residency. Jersey Shore University Medical Center is a certified baby-friendly hospital, which provided Dr. Carey with extensive breastfeeding education and lactation resources. Dr. Carey has also completed a course in lactation counseling to help our patients with any breastfeeding issues or concerns. Since completing her training she has been caring for patients at Holmdel Pediatrics.
Dr. Carey is currently on staff at Monmouth Medical Center and Riverview Medical center. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In her free time, Dr. Carey enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and Labrador.
NICOLE PISANO, PA
Physician Assistant
Nicole is a board certified physician assistant. She was born and raised in New York and moved to New Jersey in 2016. She attended Binghamton University in New York, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Chemistry and Pre-Medical Concentration. She then continued her education receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She went on to practice pediatric medicine until 2016, switching then to neonatal medicine at The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
She recently joined Holmdel Pediatrics in 2021, continuing to practice pediatric medicine and has privileges at Riverview Medical Center.
Nicole enjoys being a pediatric physician assistant and also loves spending time with her husband and young daughter, traveling and going to the beach.
ERIKA JUBINA, NP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Erika Jubina is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care. Erika grew up in Monmouth County. She received her MSN in Pediatric Primary Care from Seton Hall University in 2014. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, Erika has enjoyed caring for the pediatric population from newborn through adolescent and young adulthood through private practice. She joined Holmdel Pediatrics in June 2021.
In her free time, Erika enjoys the beach and spending time with her husband and 4 young children.
KUSUM MOHAN, MD, F.A.A.P.
Pediatrician
Dr. Kusum Mohan is the founder of Holmdel Pediatrics and served this community for 40 years. She has since retired to Florida with her husband and is enjoying spending time with her family.
